

The European Committee on Legal Co-operation (CDCJ) is an intergovernmental body, set up in 1963 under the auspices of the Committee of Ministers, which is responsible for the standard-setting activities of the Council of Europe in the field of public and private law.
The CDCJ's main role is to draw up standards commonly accepted by the 47 member states and to foster legal co-operation among them.
