The Council of Europe celebrates the 35th anniversary of the Venice Commission with a poster designed by Monsieur Z
To mark the 35th anniversary of the European Commission for Democracy through Law – better known as the Venice Commission – the Council of Europe has teamed up with French illustrator Richard Zielenkiewicz, alias Monsieur Z, to create a new commemorative poster.
This artistic collaboration pays tribute to the Commission's mission by featuring the iconic Scuola Grande San Giovanni Evangelista, where the Commission holds its sessions four times a year in the city of Venice.
The new poster will be unveiled and distributed during the events organised to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the Venice Commission.
Renowned for his clean and colourful graphic style, inspired by mid-20th century design and architecture, Monsieur Z previously collaborated with the Council of Europe in 2019 on the occasion of the Organisation's 70th anniversary and the 60th anniversary of the European Court of Human Rights.
