“Who is doing what and how?” That question was the starting point of the study “Mapping European youth work ecosystems”1, discussing existing European youth work ecosystems and how they relate to the implementation of the European Youth Work Agenda (the Agenda). Commissioned in 2022 by the EU-Council of Europe Partnership in the field of youth, the study was designed to provide a systematic overview of stakeholders and contents, depicting the diversity of stakeholders and their initiatives, as well as highlight any thematic overlaps and gaps. In so doing, its aim was to contribute to discussions on the further structural development of youth work at European level.
