The Council of Europe publication “Prison Health Care and Medical Ethics”- a manual for health care workers and other prison staff with responsibility for prisoners’ well-being, can be referred to, as a complementary guide with practical information regarding provision of health care in prison. These Guidelines are a result of a multilateral meeting on
organisation and management of prison health care, held in Strasbourg in October 2017, as part of the Council of Europe co-operation activities in the penitentiary field, implemented by the Criminal Law Co-operation Unit.
